Vaginal infections are common and can be caused by many things, including bacteria, yeast, and parasites. Symptoms of infection can also come from things like soaps and perfumes, or even clothing, so it’s important to talk to your provider to determine the cause of your symptoms and the correct treatment.

Symptoms include:

• Redness and swelling

• Pain with sex

• Change in the amount or color of discharge

• Bleeding or spotting
